You can track the amount of time your child uses the Pen and on what book and if they answered the questions correctly. He loves playing the games and seeing his rewards on the web page. The leapster web site had some problems for a few days due and overload of users on their site. A few complaints - It only holds 5 books, which isn't too bad. Once he gets bored with one book we can download a new one. Also, the red sensor is very sensitive. After only a few days we couldn't get the pen to read the books any more. Before I took it back I noticed that there was a smudge on the sensor. ...more

My daughter and myself have had a great time with this. Not only does this help with word recognition, it also helps recognize sentences and sentence breaks. The stories and games are great!!
